not a great start for me as i backed the fav fol hollow in the first i had £75 @ 2.10 early doors but went in again for £75 @ 2.60 as he drifted , perhaps i should have layed some back in the photo but i didnt as a short head defeat cost me £150 ,i noticed that a internet firm was offering 5/1 the double of sky masterson and baylaw star well i noticed money coming in for the gosden runner and i made it just under a 4/1 shot the double i asked for £100 and was offered £50 as sky masterson went off a 4/5 shot i was happy , if my memory is correct i think the horse although easily beaten in the end traded @ 1.20 i/r a pity for me and followers of isiris as baylaw star was successful . so i finished the afternoon session £200 down , but a couple of plays in the evening and was hopeful of turning that around ........ 6.56 romford was first up , on my visit to the kennels i was told that that snorbans louie was expected to win but the price was not expected to be anything to get excited over i thought 2/1, i managed to bag £150 @ 3.00 before support came in and louie entered the traps a well supported 6/4 fav unfortunately he left the traps about as quickly as he entered them totally missing the break and anychance of a win was scuppered he stayed on stoutley to nick 3rd , 7.20 towcester i layed the front two in the mkt @ evens coupled oeil destruval £85.50 @ 3.75 & visibility £74.50 @ 4.31 , on a slight negative from MH both on stamina concerns on a rain soaked testing track @ towcester i wanted to lay them in the place mkt but as i was £350 down i felt that i would be happy to win the £160 so i decided to rein back .......... a pity !!! so that was the day , a day im pleased to see the back off to be honest a loss of £196 on the day .
im building up a position on the test match @ lords starting on thursday , im keen to lay the draw @ around 2/1 , my thinking is this , the weather is expected to clear as the week developes with a few showers on thursday , the wicket will be under cover as the rain falls this week causing the wicket to "sweat" and "green up" this produces a wicket that is attrative to seam bowlers harmison and hoggard are in terrific form and will enjoy the lords wicket, lords with a ridge is already a fast bowlers wicket and the weather in the lead up may produce a underprepared wicket and one on which batsman may find scoring difficult . the west indies i feel will struggle they are used to fast hard wickets not the slower wickets of the uk they are more underprepared than the lords wicket with their latest game against somerset rain affected , their batsmen without lara are stroke players but their lack of match practice coupled with lack of experience of english conditions will prove a huge disadvantage and one i feel they wont be able to overcome .
why lay the draw @ 2/1 rather than back england @ 4/6 , im concerned that if the west indies win the toss and bowl superbly on a bowler friendly wicket we could be in trouble ,if i could guarantee that england would win the toss and bowl id back england .

Dirk, fancy backing Fol Hollow, you only had to check my blog to get the winner of that race. Remember 2yo races, specalist subject, may have saved you there, worth a peek when you fancy a 2yo again as I select in ALL 2yo races.

I have been a member of Isiris For a number of years, and can remember all the strange call backs on beaches abroad etc.
If people dont like the service they should vote with there feet.
Yes this year is not upto much this year so far.Not even covered the subscription.
As for the Ante post bets Guiness Derby etc 33-1 etc I have hade not problem getting on at least £200 each way at advised prices, but only in the shops.

yes i totally agree its not as if you are forced into joining as with anythings in life if you are unhappy contact the company in person and voice your concerns or just vote with your feet , i could not believe the conspiracy theories posted on here , that a 2nd fav was given so that someone could get a better price on another horse , if you really think that a person connected to a racing advisory service would act in such a manner then surely you should not be a member of that service , i look fwd to receiving your email , regards DD .

A fair enough main a-c bet I reckon.
Just hope he takes it on the chin like us & doesnt spoil it by claiming we should have laid off in running for a profit as per his Sunday message.
Whilst that is a legitimate tactic, I dont think he will refer to doing it when we get our run of winning maximums that we are due.
