PERSONAL TRADING

well i start off with a loss of £330 from my £150 lay @ 3.20 of the draw in the test match , the weather may have been the deciding factor whoever won the toss but i would have liked to see how the england bowlers performed on the first day rather than a rather rusty windies attack but credit to their batsman for not caving in and avoiding the follow on .
i managed to claw back £117.90 in the 3.10 muss i placed £138 ew on whinhill house i layed £138 @ 6.30/2.04 win/place with the david barker trained house putting in a decent performance a nice profit was attained for very little risk .

hi Dirk a very dissapointing test match for me for obvious reasons -i thought the pitch would have more in it given the recent weather but hoggards injury and only Monty performing certainly didnt help matters -one thing has struck me this is now the 3rd draw in a row at Lords and i certainly wont be opposing the draw at this ground again- English pitches appear to be becoming more batsmen friendly generally an effect of global warming perhaps? look at some of the massive scores racked up at Taunton -i think the golden age of simply opposing the draw in England may be coming to an end -next up Headingley on friday a pitch which used to be a seamers wicket but not so anymore England need to play 5 bowlers imo i hope Flintoff is fit
cheers

hi drever , yes i think given their bowling form its going to be a struggle for either side to claim 20 wickets over 5 days , monty is our only hope at present , i wouldn,t give up hope with harmison just yet , he has been bowling well for durham but he does seem a league below his form of 2years ago . i will continue to lay the draw for small but i may wait till the toss before committing more substancial funds , i want to the windies put under some pressure but i think you have to give them credit they came into the match underprepared but stuck in there well , taunton and chelmsford have always been batsman friendly but there may be something in the warmer climate , good lucj for friday DD.
