losing days in a row , slightly frustrating today as i fancied two horses at royal ascot som tala and hatta fort but i had one reservation , the jockey , now this blog is not going to become my vehicle to shout abuse at jocks especially with my riding ability and experience , but all of us have favourites and hugh bowman is not one of mine .................... im not saying he should of won on either of these or advocating that he thrashes them madly but he comes across to me as vulnerable in a finish and today did nothing to dispel these thoughts .

as i stated above i personally liked two @ royal ascot today , the first was som tala in the ascot stakes i had £75 ew @ 8/1 , a close up 3rd rewarded me £75 , my second bet was going to be hatta fort in the last but this was covered by isiris , i was going to back it ew on my own account but with 3 places up for a 20 runner i passed this option by , hindsight i should have had a small ew double , but thats aftertimimg of the first degree !!
i had layed the draw on friday in the 4 th test for £200 @ 1.25 , i like laying the draw anyway and with so much time made up thesedays and the windies being such a poor and low in morale side i thought there was a chance of a result , why not just back england ? well just an outside chance i thought of a damp wicket england batting first and getting skittled , anyway a comfortable victory was wrapped up this afternoon for a profit of £194 and £269 on the day .
