roll on tomorrow and cheltenhams first day of the new season , i love the place , seriously considering to tell the missus that i want my ashes scattered there when i depart this world ! im a regular at the mackeson (paddy power) meeting go with the lads from the cricket club this november will be my twelth consecutive year , first thing i do is have a butchers at the course looking up at cleeve hill its a truly inspiring view , my favourite course by a country mile .

the advised stake here was 3pts ew this equates to £450 ew , mh said for proofing purposes the 2nd sis show would be used , i always try to bag some of the price ,i managed to get £300 ew on with lads/wh @ 10/1 , i returned to the lads shop asking for £94 ew (no reason why £94!) who said "you have already had one bet on this " i said yes thats correct but my mate wants to back it , and is there a restriction to only one bet per customer on this ? , she said that she will have to call liabilities , the response was that 8/1 was now the price , i said no its alright and returned to hills , the price their was now 15/2 . so i decided to wait for the shows . 6/1 was the opening price , i would have taken 7/1 , then the next show was 11/2 nearly half the early bird price and then 5/1 now exactly half the 10/1 , well im vm value orientated , and i just could not bring myself to back it at 5/1 , so win or lose i was happy with my stance on the race thinking id done well to get £300 on @ 10/1 .
at one stage i thought we could be in trouble to finish in the three and then for a sec or two i thought we could win it , but we had to settle for second and me not placing the other point ew did not matter p/l wise , but i was happy either way .

PERSONAL BETTING

well in the 3.20 ludlow i laid three in the place market , coeur d'alene £100 @ 1.90 , return home £75 @ 3.15 and vibe £25 @ 5.3 all at one stage looked as if they could be in the shake up , but thankfully none were , so a profit of £200 less comm . my bitch gregorys girl ran in the 3.48 romford , we were hopeful , but unfortunately she did not ping the lids and took a bump at the first , this put paid to her chances and i lost the £50 i had invested @ 4.5 ............. perhaps im giving her too many treats on our sunday walks !!! but a profit personally of £142 on the day .
