a good day for isiris ...................... BUT

personally it was tarnished leaving a sour taste in my mouth , why ? the subject of isiris and its ante post strategies, isiris comes in for a lot of criticism and ill feeling over its creative accounting policy of recording a 7/2 placed selection as being "successful" and i personally take exception at their ante post policy , kb freely admits that their ante post bets are not for everyone but i feel i have sufficent time and resources to play in these markets . isiris are freely criricised as well for the availability of prices , well i hope that i show that its possible to get MOST of the prices quoted this is thru multiple accounts and calling at as close as possible to the times required , i openely admit that i struggle to get on when he gives more than 2 selections on a message and his ante post advices , i cant get on via the phones and the bookies have limits in place controlling what you can get on via the internet these are pretty small for ante post races in 6 months time , lets take his 1000 guineas selection given on a sunday afternoon some time last year take the 40/1 and 33/1 main account win bet , that means to £400 win , well i more chance of elvis presley serving me at my local sainsburys than getting that on !!! i got £25 ew @ 33/1 i was told on the net that the selection was suspended on my first port of call the second offered me the bet quoted , yesterday he said well i think we have covered the bet in full @ 14/1 by laying it back on the exchanges giving us a no lose situation and possibly a huge bumper profit , but he said lay the bet back now if you have not already done so ................... THE HORSE WAS 18.5/21 £5 x £9 for christs sake !!!! i must admit as i only got the £25 ew on i have not paid much attention to his trading advice on this one as i have stuck the bet to the back burner hoping it gets to post and i have £25 ew @ 33/1 on a "live" runner but common kevin you are quoting potential profits to FULL stakes here ............... who actually got on to decent sums probably this bloke who bets to £300 per quarter point or the smart ar$e who made thousands backing sri lanka @ 1000 last week !!
so kb went onto the derby ante post position now here i was a little more successful achieving £200 @ 12/1 , yesterdays advice was lay back 1 pt @ 9.0 or below well i reckon i first there as i layed £100 @ 8.93 so i doubt any other members layed back the horse at below 8/1 yesterday the horse is now 9.2/10 £11 x £250 , he says there is no rush to lay it back ................. well what happens if the horse mets a set back over the next week what will be recorded in the figs ? i bet 1.01 it will be a loss of 1pt !!!
i have not touched on the large bank required to lay these positions back but as kb has stated the ante post bets will not be for everyone , kb you are correct but please dont treat the people who do trade your ante post advices as village idiots , we cant get paul daniels to magic up these prices or liquidity !!!

on a lighter note another successful day and successful trip up the a1 to peterboro for the puppy derby semis , great news both dogs owned by my mates slug city and conker all got thru to the final so the ante post vouchers look tasty , but i think on last nights display they will do well to get with a couple of lengths of westmead prince who looked awesome and is a worthy favourite .

Hi mate (From Minipuro)

Totally agree with your observations & indeed ante post betting strategy... I didnt get anything on the guineas bet.

The performance of these bets are also manipulated ... they disappear from any stats or adverts for the month if they lose & shine out in all their glory if they collect.

To succeed with isiris you need many things ... be full time, multiple accounts, big bank etc etc You also need to be able to switch off from the man himself .. ive tried to give up listening to reviews etc where possible ... we know we'll make a profit in the long term .. tho I can see why so many wont ( & in many cases it is not their fault ... in some it is)

Stay lucky

hi DD totally agree with both you and minipuro. I imagine most serious (?!) long-term Isiris subscribers feel the same. Personally, I couldnt get eith er of these particular AP bets at anywhere near his prices. Not complaining though as I nearly always get the prices. Ive still given up the insiders. May try arbing them in the summer. I find kevins manipulation of the figures very trying. I know hes running a business and has to put the best gloss possible on the results but he MUST drive away some punters because of his patronising attitude. Glad your getting your in front. I'm having a lousy time with my own bets. Started chasing, I'm afraid. Still, keeping just about in front. Keep posting and good luck jeanius

H Dirk i too have difficulty getting on the ante post advices so i now ring a couple of bookies i find more accomadating and dont push it ie i asked for and got £100 win on the guineas selection @ 33s likewise on the derby @ 12s i then ignore the laying advice as im only on at reduced stakes anyway of course if one of these goes in at anytime my account wont match the official figures-quelle suprise! -did you play on the cricket world cup outright from memory it looks like only NZ can damage your book? my strategy is looking hopeful the Saffers and Lanka look promising to reach the semis and that would be good enough for me
cheers
