a day to forget personally , my first play was £120 @ 11/8 on enlightenment in the kempton opener my theory was that he was giving 6lb to his rival benetwood official rating had him 13lb ahead and i thought that moloney would play catch me if you can tactics and have too much pace on this ground for benetwood , i dont think it would have mattered what tactics were employed as benetwood easily beat my selection who looked woefully out of touch and faded into 5th . a couple of sml bets (£25 ew) on dizzy future 2.30 tow @ 16/1 and mapilut du moulin 3.35 tow @ 33/1 on the back of messages from MH were unsuccessful as was a lay of £50 @ 2.86 on poppy maroon 3.25 kemp . i managed to claw back £85 in the 4.35 kemp where i backed roznic for £225 @ 8/1 and layed £225 @ 8.62 , roznic was successful and my fight back had started !
so it was a day to forget but a evening to remember ....................... two runners at peterboro there was ante post betting so i took a slight interest with two wagers : conker all £37.50 ew @ 33/1 slug city £75 ew @ 16/1 . a decent run up the A1 slug city was the more fancied of the 2 but conker all was first up had £50 @ 5/2 , he missed his break but showed good early in trap 1 got to the first bend level and moved off the rail knocking other runners out of the way and giving him a clear and winning run . slug city was in the last heat had £150 @ 7/4 unlike conker all he trapped brilliantly for an all the way success , happy days and roll on next wednesday for the semi s !!! giving me a profit on the day of £209.50
