Well, nobody can say you didn't give it your best shot. You stuck with it and took the knock-backs as a pro should.

I have to say I'm sorry you have decided to pack it all in and stop the blog as I've thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Every best wish, Phil (ExSettler)

good to hear the offers are rolling in Dirk. It would seem from your recent tone that its for best and the right path for the future.

big decision, but sounds like the right one.

all the best for when you become 'employed' and thanks for so honestly and opening sharing your 30k challenge over the last year or so, has been very enlightning and goof fun.

enjoy yourself....its for real not a rehearsal :-)

I know exactly what you mean....my appetite for the game has diminished...I think that it is now virtually impossible to make any kind of living at the game if you are relying on high profile tipsters to mark your card. PS What job have you got lined up? Cheers Chris Deadman

Very best of luck to you Greg in your new career. Been good to read your experiences over the last year or so.

Will you be continuing to back the Isiris horses for the rest of the year ?

All the best
JP

hi there , yes i have been knocked over by the popularity of my blog , i have thoroughly enjoyed compiling it and i will be sad to see it go , but i dont think you wanna hear about my occasional score ew or £2 lucky 15 that will be replacing my current bets ! the blog certainly helped with my discipline and would recommend the experience to all punters experienced or not regards DD.

hqo .......... your last comment strikes a chord with me "its for real not a rehearsal" as after i lost my mum as a kid in a car crash it has been the way i live my life , yes this is our one chance at it , and if i dont like something or am not enjoying something i do something about it , hence the career change . it has been the comments and contact with guys like yourself that has been one of the huge positives from my blog , best of luck , regards DD.

hi chris , i still think its possible to make the game pay with the 3 services i use , but i just no longer enjoy it , i suppose the enemy has ground me down !!got 2 differing offers one in the betting industry and one in the city rather not divulge exactly what they are until the letters come thru ! regards DD.

hi jp , pleased you have enjoyed my blog , continued success to yours and your gambling. sadly i thinki will have to bite the bullet on isiris as i will not be able to call on a reg basis , and i prefer the all or nothing approach , knowing my luck the days i call will be losing ones and the winning days will be the times i cant call ! and if i am just starting a new job i dont want to convey the wrong impression by popping over the road to the bookies or logging onto stan james ! regards DD.

Good luck with the new job. I think we all know what a tough decesion it is. At least you have the option to come back to gambling in the future. If you clear your name with all the bookies and stuff like that then in a couple years you be able to start as a fresh person. It worth writing to them to close your account and requesting they remove all details they hold on. Legally you can request this.

brian , funnily enough when i decided that my employment possibilities were likely to be in the bookmaking or financial area i wrote to the bookmakers asking them to close them down , i rarely used them anyway but thought this would be the best practise , thanks again & best of luck for the future regards DD.
